Elegance & Enterprise

A quote from Serena Williams that reads: “Every woman’s success should be an inspiration to another, we’re strongest when we cheer each other on.”

Where women gather, creativity flourishes.

Where women gather, our stories cultivate growth.

Where women gather, we generate the power to elevate the whole of society.

This is our loving mantra at Virtuosa Society, and we aim to reflect it in everything we do. In the spirit of coming together, we want to highlight some of our favorite collaborations – recent, upcoming, and longstanding. These phenomenal female-owned businesses are near and dear to our hearts, thoughtfully delivering their services and products with a passion that is known to every creative woman.

We as women are acutely aware of the vast market of products advertised to us for every reason under the sun. We also know that only using high quality products for our internal and external health is key to being kind to our bodies. These female-owned brands are some of our favorites for treating our bodies (and cravings!) the way they deserve to be treated.

Event Cosmetics

Virtuosa Society is collaborating with female founded, black-owned, Portland-based & locally manufactured makeup brand Event Cosmetics! Stay tuned for an exciting announcement next week, because this is a match made in makeup heaven. Katherine Sealy is the dynamic founder and has even been Katie’s personal makeup artist for her Bring My Crown performance (and much more)!

COCOGLOW

Founders Emily and Nicole share a passion for the intersection of food and medicine, treating each meal as an opportunity to add the healing properties of plants, herbs and spices. The inception of COCOGLOW came after realizing that the products they wanted to purchase — refined-sugar free, plant-based, herbal beauty foods – didn’t exist. Nicole started creating nutrient-rich plant-based recipes, which were then infused with Emily’s knowledge of herbal medicine, and COCOGLOW was born. The COCOGLOW founders believe that living a healthy life isn’t a hardship or a sacrifice, but an opportunity to explore new foods and experiences, while feeling better in the process!

Bonnie Nork’s Custom Baked Goods

Bonnie’s passion for baking paired with her artistic eye is the perfect recipe for beautiful and delicious baked goods. Based out of Klamath Falls, OR, Bonnie utilizes locally sourced ingredients as much as possible and specializes in accommodating dietary restrictions such as gluten-free, keto, vegan, and more. She recently collaborated with Nana’s Tea Room to host a cupcake decorating class in Klamath Falls, complete with tea pairing, to share her love of decorating delicious food with others. You can follow her here on Facebook and here on Instagram.

The importance of having a safe space to simply exist as we are is never lost on us, no matter how often it may be disregarded or underestimated. There is power and safety in being vulnerable with others, and it is imperative that we uphold the sanctity of these safe spaces where we as women can come together for support. Here are two of our favorite places for Virtuosa Society events, run by women that we love having in our circle!

The Aerie Retreat

The Aerie Retreat Center is a place to find respite, healing, transformation, connection, and revitalization for those seeking it. It is lovingly run by Natalie Vartanian, CPCC, PCC, and her husband Glen Nielsen, CHP, a certified Hakomi practitioner also trained in Somatic Experiencing. Their mission and greatest hope is to heal the world, one person at a time. In their words, “All are welcome… all faiths, all races, all humans… as all are deserving of healing and love.”

Our inaugural Maestra Masterclass was hosted by Natalie at their beautiful retreat center in January 2024.

Nana’s Tea Room

Nana’s is a culture inspired, women and veteran owned and operated, Christ-led business in Klamath Falls, OR. These ladies believe everyone has a past and a story to tell, and they welcome you to spill the tea! They have three beautifully themed rooms to choose from for your next event – England, France, and Japan. Gather with friends, family and/or co-workers – or enjoy some “me” time – in their eclectic, relaxed atmosphere and enjoy loose-leaf teas that have been carefully selected and sampled.

Our IRL Garden Party (LINK) was lovingly hosted at Nana’s Tea Room, the perfect gathering space for making our vision boards for the year.

We are mothers, caregivers, and nurturers. We are also artists, visionaries, and creators. These incredible women have not only shared their artistic visions with us, they have helped ours come to life!

Kate O’Hara

Currently based in Reno, Kate is an illustrator who has worked with Pepsi, Cirque Du Soleil, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, Scholastic, Paramount Pictures, HarperCollins, Crabtree & Evelyn, Hasbro Toys, and more. If you joined us for our Summer Solstice Hike, she was the brilliant designer behind the hand-stamped cotton bandana you received!

Colson Horton

Colson Horton is a dynamic creative specializing in prop styling, set design, and art direction with over 15 years of professional experience working in Nashville, New York and beyond. An advocate for young creatives and entrepreneurs, Colson serves on the board of advisors for Lipscomb University’s Department of Fashion and Design and is a member of the Female Founder Collective. She is also a co-founder of the Preservation Society of Nashville, a non-profit dedicated to protect and champion Nashville’s unique stories, neighborhoods, and architecture through education, advocacy, and historic preservation.

Colson is also the brilliant visionary behind Virtuosa Society’s vintage floral branding.

We hope you have found these women and their work as inspiring as we do, and we highly encourage you to support female-owned brands and businesses. After all, where women gather, we generate the power to elevate the whole of society.
