Skylight by May Stevens, a lithograph image of the silhouettes of women dancing and running along a shoreline. The water below them reflects the sky above.

In May’s own words, “The title refers to the gray-gold light that fills the entire space, sky and water equally.  The seven figures respond to the light: they dance, play pirouette, experience the moment when they are enveloped from above, below and all around them with the wavering quavering light.” Like her words, Stevens’ images are both poetic and eloquent.

Sunshine and life have beckoned playful energy in these Summer months. Our gardens are blooming and so too is our creative drive to continue nourishing the seeds that are nearing fruition. Our working lives are renewed with clarification and collaborative possibility as we thrive with the season. May we cherish this remaining month, continuing to accept the ready guidance of our inner child to explore our curiosities and the world around us. And may we as creative women always know that forgiveness is within reach, though we need not be apologetic for splashing in the water and playing in the dirt!

Virtuosa Society is tirelessly devoted to investing in your virtuostic, creative gifts because we wholeheartedly believe they make the world a better place for everyone.

Which is why we clarified our vision on the heels of our First Anniversary to better support and contribute to the connection and prosperity of creative women, thereby allowing for more innovation across industry by women.

With great care and thought, we’ve made the shift from a membership organization to a nonprofit organization.

This equips us with the ability to financially invest in women through grants while continuing to connect creative women with vital support, edification, mentorship, collaborations, and conversations – our service pillars from day one.

One year ago, we launched Virtuosa Society Membership, and we were thrilled to have such a dynamic group of Founding Members committed to taking part in our services and events. Their participation and feedback became foundational metrics to inform how we should continue to elevate our ability to meet creative women where you need it most, and this is all beautifully reflected in our new website.

At the onset of 2024, we adopted a seasonal perspective to help pace productivity and stave off burnout. Throughout the year we reiterated that a state of bloom fluctuates and that the process of blossoming needs attentive nurturing. Our current state of bloom reflects our summer goal of keeping pace with giving our goals energy, sun & water… but also humbly acknowledges that this is an ever-evolving process, just like the nonlinear journey of creativity.

We’re so grateful to grow with you and for you!

With love,

Our team has embraced the transformative inspiration of the Summer season to build a new website and hone in on a clarified mission.

The Virtuosa Society is no longer a membership space. In fact, our previous members-only Elevation Conversations will be released to the public in the form of podcast episodes!

Subscribe to the Virtuosa Society Podcast for weekly Between The Bio episodes highlighting stories of creative women as they walk their unique journeys and breathe life into their endeavors. Season 2 of the Virtuosa Society Podcast will also be released soon with monthly episodes as Katie dives deep into the stories of women hidden from history.

We are here to nurture creativity and virtuosity in women through connection, edification, and financial support. Check out our website and explore our offerings that include collaboration, grants, affiliate opportunities, seasonal events, and more.

Speaking of collaboration, we are partnering with Healthy Klamath for a mural project to pay homage to historical female figures of Klamath County, OR. Applications are open for the artistically inclined to paint a portrait of the historical figure of your choice that will be displayed in downtown Klamath Falls! Click here to learn more about the Alleyway Activation Project and submit your application.

Though we never know what the future may hold, we will gladly and lovingly continue working to make the world a better place for creative women from all walks of life. We thank you for making this journey with us and look forward to further paving the way for women to succeed with the support they deserve.

With loving gratitude,

Caia Claire & the Virtuosa Society Team
